About Sinus Congestion

Sinus congestion is one of the most common and troublesome complaints associated with colds, sinusitis, and/or allergies. Pseudoephedrine is widely used in cough and cold products to relieve sinus congestion. It reduces nasal congestion, helping decongest sinus openings and promotes nasal and/or sinus drainage, improving the ability to breathe.

Guaifenesin can be added to pseudoephedrine to help bronchial drainage by thinning mucus secretions and loosening phlegm for productive or wet coughs.

The combined effect of pseudoephedrine and guaifenesin helps to improve the relief of sinus congestion helping bronchial tubes by thinning mucus and loosening phlegm providing non-drowsy relief. Also, pseudoephedrine and guaifenesin do not cause drowsiness.
